How does 3D printing powder 15-5 Stainless-Steel Powder get produced?
The 15-5PH stainless is an upgrade of the 17-4PH that was developed in the 1960s. This finer structure was achieved by the remelting procedure. The delicate structure increases the material's strength. The material has a low-temperature toughening ability, excellent manufacturing performance and corrosion resistance. It is suitable for many industries. It can be processed either in the solution annealing stage or the final heat-treatment state. Heat treatment at different temperatures improves the strength and ductility.
Any conditions are acceptable for processing 15-5PH. Initially, the alloy is formed under the conditions of averaging. It is then weld using techniques such as protection fusion or resistance method. The material was heated at 1038degC (1900degF), for 1/2 hour, and then cooled in air. It is then followed by annealing the alloy at 1038degC for 1 hour and cold working.
