About 3D-Printing Stainless steel SS316L Powder 316 stainless has more carbon in than 316L. How does 3D-Printing Stainless Steel Powder SS316L produce?
Type 316 is a chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel that contains between 2% and 3% molybdenum. The molybdenum content increases corrosion resistance, resistance against pitting in chloride-ion solutions and high temperature strength.
Melting or laser-sintering produces stainless steel 3D printing. Two technologies are available for this material, DMLS and SLM. At Sculpteo for stainless steel printing, we use DMLS, Direct Metal Laser Sintering, which is a Laser Sintering Technology on EOS M280 Machines.
