The company was founded by Michael Ball in 2002. Michael Ball is currently the CEO and the Creative Director of Rock & Republic. Prior to working in the fashion industry, Ball was an avid cyclist who gained reputation as a designer by creating the uniforms for his cycling team. Staying true to his roots, Michael Ball is a great influence in sports and philanthropy. In 2007 Rock & Republic became the first fashion brand to sponsor a professional cycling team, Rock Racing. The cycling team revolutionized the cycling spot by putting a sexy edge into cycling. Michael ball is also a great philanthropist. Rock the Cure, is Rock & Republics philanthropic foundation. Rock the Cure donates 100% of the profits to charity. The foundation’s motto is “make a difference lead by example, and Rock the Cure”
