Affliction
The Affliction clothing line is described as “skull and crossbone inspired”. An affliction tee or an affliction hat can be seen worn by top boxers and WWE stars. Apart from an affliction cap or t shirt, the line includes polo shirts, hoodies, thermals and belts for men. Affliction was launched in August 2005 by Tom Atencio, Todd Beard, Eric Foss and Clifton Chason.
Some of Affliction’s shirts bear the logo of many MMA fighters, including: George St.Pierre, Randy Couture and Quinton Jackson. Top boxers also act as promoters for Affliction products. Nowadays Afflictions is branching out into the other professional sports ranks with Milwaukee Brewers all stars Ryan Braun signing on to wear the Affliction label. Pamela Rogers, a spokesperson for Affliction, described the brand as an “upscale men’s boutique brand” with an urban, rugged look to it.
Affliction has taken the fashion world by stom. Rock bands, celebrities and fashionistas have fallen into the Affliction craze. Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Criss Angel, Randy Couture are fans of Affliction clothing, elevating the brand as a new celebrity fashion standard.
